Despite the roller coaster ride of pundit opinions regarding whether or not the economy is rebounding, recovering, stabilizing or slipping back into recessionary levels, one principle remains undeterred...United We Stand!  Our commitment to each other as members of our fraternal organization and the services and benefits available to all have been crucial to our families in weathering these economic times.  Many Local and International programs such as: "No Member Left Behind", "Union Plus", "Union Privilege" and "Buy-It-Local" have assisted members and their families in these tough and uncertain times.  We've been faced with an organized assault on the Middle Class of America which has been devastating nationwide.  The Wall Street idolaters imitating their fictitious hero, 'Gordon Gecko' have targeted our workers, industries, markets and organizations with the sole objective of maximizing the profit of a few (those who need it the least) at the expense of everyone else.  Unfortunately, too many of us, our friends and our families, have become complicit with their efforts simply by our apathy.  We've empowered their destructive efforts NOT by what we've done so much as by what we have NOT done.  Our resolve to combat the annihilation of the middle class must motivate our pursuits.  Our efforts and achievements will serve and benefit our members, our families and untold others of similar circumstances where the greed of the 'robber-baron' mentality has been taking some footholds.  We cannot give up the fight and idly watch the plundering of our Country and all that We Stand for.  We must Unite!  We must Organize!  We must Act!  We must Stand together and save our economy, our Country and our Middle Class.  We can do this: one worker, one member, one company, one market-sector at a time, if need be; but, we must keep forging forward.  For more information on how you can help contact your Local Organizer, Bob White at boblocal63@att.net.
